WHAT IS 4th WORLD LOVE PILATES RETREAT ALL ABOUT?
Our getaways are designed to give back to the
community and sustainable tourism is the heart and soul of each of our
retreats. We always make sure to
support the natives and help raise social and cultural awareness by taking
advantage of the local’s expertise via our cooking workshops, volunteering
opportunities, snorkeling excursions, etc.
WHERE IS THE 2010 RETREAT HELD?
Rest and relaxation is at the forefront of our retreats and there's no better place to do that than Casa Ixchel. Since we rent out the entire hotel, you'll enjoy the company of those who are of like mind and spirit. No outsiders and only those who bring light, joy and karmic happiness to the surroundings...and a few cocktails as well!
The island is about 5 miles long and a mile wide. Our hotel is right in the middle which offers authentic Mexico to the south and a more international vibe to the north. Most people rent golf carts and cruise around stopping at the amazing beaches, the cool little shops, the funky restaurants, the cute bars and other sites around the island. Some folks walk and even others take a taxi ride for about $3 USD.
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
5 nights/6 days accommodations; a welcome dinner Tuesday night; a one-on-one evaluation with Kathleen; a healthy continental breakfast each morning; 2 Pilates classes per day; a cooking workshop with our favorite local family; a pirate ship snorkeling adventure to Isla Contoy, and volunteering with the local English school.

Though your breakfast is included, your
lunch and dinner options are endless. From the best Mexican food
you'll ever have to Mediterranean, French, Italian, Caribbean and good
old American, Isla Mujeres draws its cuisine from all over the world.
Learning something new is a huge part of our retreats, so you can pick and choose what you'd like for an additional fee:

A foodie tour of Isla Mujeres led by food/adventure/travel writer Misty Tosh, this island hop includes plenty of Tequila, tacos and tall tales. ($50 usd)
Learn to ride a moped ($50 usd)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET THERE AND WHERE DO I FLY INTO?
Airfare generally runs around $350-$600 from the USA to Cancun, Mexico.
HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO ISLA MUJERES?
After you go through customs at the Cancun airport, you'll need to get to Puerto Juarz where you'll pick up a ferry to Isla Mujeres. The taxi fare from the airport to the ferry is about $40 and is about 30 minutes. Try to share a van with someone and you'll find a better price. Once you arrive at Puerto Jarez, you'll hop on the ferry which will cost about $5 USD. When you arrive in the port on the island, we'll be there to greet you!
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST ME?
If you choose to stay in your own room it is $1700.
If you care to share a room (with a friend, spouse, mother, etc.) it is $1400/person.
